Chill Your Glass
Place a rocks glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes to chill it.

Measure Ingredients
Using a jigger, measure out 2 oz of Old Forester Bourbon and 1 oz of water.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the Old Forester Bourbon and water.

Add Ice
Add 3 ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 30 seconds to chill the mixture.

Strain and Serve
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer, and strain the mixture into the glass over fresh ice if desired.

Garnish
Garnish the drink with a strip of orange peel and a maraschino cherry.
