Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub each NY Strip steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time as needed for desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and trim the asparagus. Peel and slice the carrots into thin strips. Core and slice the bell pepper into strips.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the prepared vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes or until tender and slightly caramelized. Season with salt to taste.

Pommes Frites Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches for about 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

Chimichurri Sauce Preparation

  1. 8

    Make the Chimichurri

In a food processor, combine fresh parsley, cilantro, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste. Blend until well combined but still slightly chunky.
