Wings Preparation
- 1
Prep the Wings
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, season the wings with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Arrange the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack. Make sure they are spread out evenly to ensure even cooking.
- 3
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Korean BBQ Sauce Preparation
- 4
Make the Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, minced garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- 5
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Allow the sauce to cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Combining Wings and Sauce
- 6
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the Korean BBQ sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
- 7
Garnish
Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions.
