Prepare the Glass
Start by preparing an old-fashioned glass. If desired, chill the glass by placing it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Pour 2 ounces of Bulleit Bourbon over the muddled sugar and bitters mixture.

If desired, add ice to the glass. You can use one large ice cube or several smaller cubes.

Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and drop the peel into the glass. Add a maraschino cherry for garnish.
