Method

Preparation of Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making sure they are slightly larger than the hamburger buns.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.

  2. 4

    Melt the Cheese

After flipping, top each patty with equal portions of cheddar and Swiss cheese. Cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a patty with melted cheese. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Cover with the top half of the bun.
