Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Chop Vegetables

Finely chop the jalapeños, onion, and garlic. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Monterey Jack, and white cheddar. Mix until smooth.

Cooking Process

  1. 3

    Cook Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 4

    Add Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, jalapeños, and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

  3. 5

    Season the Mixture

Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  4. 6

    Combine with Cheese

Reduce heat to low and add the cheese mixture to the skillet. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the dip is creamy, about 5 minutes.

  5. 7

    Adjust Flavor

Taste and add hot sauce if desired for extra heat. Mix well.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Warm

Transfer the queso dip to a serving bowl and enjoy with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers.
