Method

Preparing the Burgers

    Mix the Meat

    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

    Form the Patties

    Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

    Cook the Patties

    Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Preparing the Fixins'

    Slice the Vegetables

    Wash and slice the tomatoes into rounds. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the onions thinly.

    Arrange the Fixins'

    In small bowls or on a platter, arrange the pickles, sliced onions, chopped lettuce, and sliced tomatoes. Place the condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise) in separate small bowls.

Serving the Platter

    Place each cooked patty on a burger bun. Top with desired fixins' and condiments.
