Mac and Cheese Preparation

Cook the Elbow Macaroni
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Add Cheese
Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper until fully melted and smooth. Add the cooked macaroni and mix until well combined.
Burger Preparation

Form the Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into 2 equal-sized patties.

Cook the Burger Patties
Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Cook the Bacon
In the same pan, cook the hickory smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Grilled Cheese Assembly

Prepare the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.

Assemble the Sandwich
In a skillet over medium heat, place 2 slices of bread, buttered side down. Layer with mac and cheese, a burger patty, and crispy bacon. Top with another slice of mac and cheese, followed by another slice of bread, buttered side up.

Grill the Sandwich
Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the second sandwich.
