Pan-Seared California Halibut

1. Prepare the Halibut

Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

2. Sear the Halibut

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the halibut fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Make the Lemon Caper Sauce

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and capers, cooking for another minute. Pour the sauce over the halibut.
