Apple Strudel Ingredients
Method
Apple Strudel Directions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, raisins, and vanilla extract. Mix well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 2
Prepare the Pastry
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface. Cut each sheet into a rectangle.
- 3
Assemble the Strudel
Place a portion of the apple filling along one edge of the pastry. Drizzle with Frangelico liqueur. Fold the pastry over the filling and roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with beaten egg.
- 4
Bake the Strudel
Place the strudel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with the remaining beaten egg. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 5
- 6
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and Frangelico liqueur to taste, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- 7
Serve
Once the strudel is baked, let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a drizzle of house-made caramel and a dollop of Frangelico whipped cream.
