Steak Frites

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the Harris Ranch Prime Flatiron Steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Fry the Leeks

In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add sliced leeks and fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with a pinch of salt.

  3. 3

    Make the Cream Sauce

In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat. Stir in grated Pecorino cheese and black pepper until smooth and thickened. Adjust seasoning with salt as needed.

  4. 4

    Fry the French Fries

Fry the French fries according to package instructions or until golden and crispy. Season with salt.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the steak and place it on a plate. Serve with a generous portion of French fries on the side, topped with the fried leeks and drizzled with Pecorino cream sauce.
