Method

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop all the vegetables as specified. Cut the broccoli into small florets, slice the bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms, and trim the snap peas.

  2. 2

    Chop Green Onions

Chop the green onions finely and set them aside for later.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water. Stir until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

Heat a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of sesame oil and stir-fry the broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and snap peas for about 5-7 minutes or until they are tender-crisp.

  2. 5

    Add the Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables in the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the vegetables.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove from heat. Sprinkle with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes if desired. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
