Brussels Sprouts

Lemon Aioli

Method

Preparing Brussels Sprouts

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting the Brussels sprouts.

  2. 2

    Trim and Halve Brussels Sprouts

Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water and trim off the stem ends. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.

  3. 3

    Season the Brussels Sprouts

In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even cooking.

Making Lemon Aioli

  1. 5

    Prepare the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic clove, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 6

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the aioli and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to suit your preference.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate and Serve

Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. Serve warm with the lemon aioli on the side for dipping.
