Fish and Garnish

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Fish

Place the yellowtail fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Ensure the fillets are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Scallions

While the fish is marinating, wash and chop the scallions into thin slices, separating the white and green parts.

  4. 4

    Cook the Fish

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the yellowtail from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the fillets in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily.

  5. 5

    Add Scallions

In the last minute of cooking, add the white parts of the scallions to the skillet, stirring them around the fish. Remove from heat.

  6. 6

    Serve

Transfer the cooked yellowtail to a serving platter and garnish with the green parts of the scallions. Drizzle any remaining marinade from the skillet over the fish before serving.
