Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat Grill or Oven

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  4. 4

    Cook Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill for about 5-6 minutes per side until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If using the oven, place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill or oven. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
