Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse the short-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 2

    Heat the River Stone Bowl

While the rice is cooking, preheat your hot river stone bowl by placing it in a hot oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the julienned carrot, zucchini, and sliced shiitake mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, scramble the eggs until fully cooked. Set aside.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to the preheated river stone bowl. Top with the sautéed vegetables, scrambled eggs, and chopped green onions. Mix everything together in the bowl.

  6. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve immediately, allowing the heat from the stone bowl to continue cooking the ingredients. Enjoy your Ishi Yaki Bop!
