Bun Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and chop the non-GMO potatoes into small cubes. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash until smooth. Allow to cool.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

- 4
Form the Dough
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5
First Rise
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 6
Shape the Buns
After the first rise, punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape each portion into a round bun and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- 7
Second Rise
Cover the shaped buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- 8
Bake the Buns
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
