Preparing the Fillings

Cook the Meat
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, ground chicken, or carne adovada. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).

Season the Meat
Stir in taco seasoning, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
Preparing the Tacos

Heat the Taco Shells
If using hard shell tacos, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 5 minutes. If using soft flour tortillas, warm them in a skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes per side.

Assemble the Tacos
Fill each taco shell with the cooked meat, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and guacamole as desired.
