Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, red chile powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Layer lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked patties on top, and add ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately with fries, onion rings, or sweet potato fries.
