French Toast

Method

Prepare the French Toast

1

In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

2

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

3

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

4

Place the soaked bread onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

5

Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.

Prepare the Peach Topping

6

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sliced peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

7

Cook until peaches are soft and syrupy, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the Whipped Cream

8

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

9

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.

Assemble the Dish

10

Serve the French toast topped with the warm peach mixture and a dollop of whipped cream.
