Method
Brining the Chicken

Prepare Brine Solution
In a large bowl, mix 4 cups of water with 1/4 cup of salt and 1/4 cup of sugar until dissolved.

Brine the Chicken
Submerge 2 pieces of chicken breasts in the brine solution, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Cooking the Chicken and Bacon

Cook the Chicken
In the same skillet, add the brined chicken breasts and cook on medium-high heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
Preparing the Ranch Sauce

Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 cup of sour cream, 1 tbs of dried dill, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of onion powder, 0.5 tsp of salt, 0.5 tsp of black pepper, and 0.5 cup of buttermilk. Whisk until well blended.
Assembling the Dish

Slice the Onion
Thinly slice the medium red onion.

On a serving platter, layer the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, sliced red onion, and drizzle with ranch sauce. Serve immediately.
