Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water (about 110°F or 43°C) with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Once the yeast mixture is foamy, add it to the flour mixture along with olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.

  4. 4

    Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Cook Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.

  3. 8

    Prepare Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12-inch pizza crust. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.

  4. 9

    Add Toppings

Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the pizza crust. Add sliced red onion and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  5. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

  6. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, top with dill pickle slices and drizzle with ranch dressing. Cut into slices and serve warm.
