Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Season the turkey breast with salt and black pepper. Place the turkey in the smoker and smoke for approximately 2-3 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove from smoker and let rest.

  2. 2

    Make the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Platter

Slice the smoked turkey breast and arrange it on a large platter. Serve with sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, Alabama style white BBQ sauce, marinated slaw, and pickles on the side.
