Method

Ribs Preparation

1

Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork ribs.

2

Cook the Ribs

Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C). If using a grill, cook the ribs indirect for about 2.5 to 3 hours. If using an oven, wrap the ribs in foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

3

Make the Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes until thickened.

Serving

4

Serve the Ribs

Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the grill or oven and brush with house-made BBQ sauce. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

5

Plate the Meal

Serve the sliced ribs with pints of coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad, alongside the buns or cornbread and pickles.
