Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Season the turkey breast with your favorite spices or a simple salt and pepper rub. Place the turkey in the smoker and smoke for about 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  2. 2

    Make the Slaw

In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Slice the Turkey

Once the turkey is done smoking, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Slice the turkey breast thinly.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the turkey is resting, toast the buns on a grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On each bun, add a generous amount of sliced turkey, a drizzle of sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, a scoop of marinated slaw, a drizzle of Alabama style white BBQ sauce, and top with pickles. Serve immediately.
