Preparation Steps
- 1
Make the BBQ Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sausage
Preheat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat. Grill the smoked hot links for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through and nicely charred.
- 3
Toast the Buns
While the sausages are grilling, split the buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Place each grilled sausage in a toasted bun. Generously drizzle with the prepared BBQ sauce and top with pickles.
- 5
Serve
Serve the smoked sausage sandwiches warm and enjoy!
