Hot Links and Buns

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

Make the Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Marinated Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. In another bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

Make the Alabama Style White BBQ Sauce

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  4. 4

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the smoked hot links for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly charred.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Place grilled hot links in toasted buns. Top with sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, marinated slaw, Alabama white BBQ sauce, and pickles.
