Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary.
- 2
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the spice mix all over the ribs, covering them evenly.
- 3
Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- 4
Make the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes until it thickens.

Finish the Ribs
Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce halfway through.
- 7
Serve
Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut between the bones to serve, and garnish with pickles.
