Ribs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Rub the spice mixture evenly over the ribs on both sides, ensuring to coat them well.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  5. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the oven and brush the BBQ sauce generously over them.

  7. 7

    Final Cook

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
