Ribs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.

  2. 2

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

  3. 3

    Make the BBQ Sauce

While the ribs are baking, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and discard the top foil. Brush the ribs generously with the BBQ sauce and return to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
