Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and pat it dry with paper towels.
- 2
Make the Rub
In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder, covering it evenly.
- 3
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the apple cider vinegar and water around the meat. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
- 4
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces.
- 5
Serve
Serve the pulled pork on its own, or with your choice of buns, sauces, and sides.
