Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the chicken breast and steak, peel and devein the shrimp. Chop the onion, bell pepper, and carrot. Slice the green onions and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

If you haven't done so already, cook the rice according to package instructions, and let it cool. Day-old rice works best for fried rice.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook Chicken

Add the diced chicken to the skillet and cook until it's no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 5

    Cook Shrimp

In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside with the chicken.

  4. 6

    Cook Steak

Add the sliced steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and set aside with the other proteins.

  5. 7

    Stir-fry Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the onion, bell pepper, carrot, and green peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  6. 8

    Combine with Rice

Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir everything together.

  7. 9

    Add Proteins and Seasonings

Return the cooked chicken, shrimp, and steak to the skillet. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.

  8. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.
