Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of jasmine rice, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Proteins

In a bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, and 1 teaspoon of grated ginger. Add the steak, shrimp, and chicken to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from marinade and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Cook the Chicken

In the same pan, add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  3. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  4. 6

    Stir-fry the Vegetables

In the same pan, add a splash of sesame oil if needed. Add sliced zucchini, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onion. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the sliced steak, chicken, and shrimp on a plate alongside the stir-fried vegetables. Fluff the jasmine rice with a fork and serve on the side. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top for added flavor.
