Main Ingredients

Garlic Butter and Caper Cream Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sea Bass

Season the Chilean sea bass fillet with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cooking the Sea Bass

  1. 3

    Sear the Sea Bass

Carefully place the seasoned sea bass in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Cream and Capers

Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the capers. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

  3. 6

    Finish the Sauce

Add lemon juice and chopped parsley to the sauce. Stir well and season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place the seared Chilean sea bass on a plate and drizzle the garlic butter and caper cream sauce over the top. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

  2. 8

    Enjoy Your Meal

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your delicious Chilean sea bass!
