Base Preparation

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3. Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

4. Combine Both Mixtures

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.

Adding Flavor

5. Add Cinnamon and Walnuts

Fold in the ground cinnamon and chopped walnuts into the batter until evenly distributed.

Baking

6. Prepare Baking Pan

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

7. Pour Batter

Pour the prepared batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

8. Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.

Topping Preparation

9. Prepare Icing

In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the milk until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk or sugar as necessary.

10. Garnish

Once the baked item has cooled, drizzle the icing over the top and sprinkle with chopped fresh mint.
