Base Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Combine Both Mixtures
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
Adding Flavor
Add Cinnamon and Walnuts
Fold in the ground cinnamon and chopped walnuts into the batter until evenly distributed.
Baking
Prepare Baking Pan
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Pour Batter
Pour the prepared batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
Topping Preparation
Prepare Icing
In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the milk until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk or sugar as necessary.
Garnish
Once the baked item has cooled, drizzle the icing over the top and sprinkle with chopped fresh mint.
