Method

Main Dish Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rub the prime rib with olive oil and coat it evenly with blackening seasoning. Place it on a roasting rack in a baking pan.

  2. 2

    Roast the Prime Rib

Roast the prime rib for 15 minutes at 400°F, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue to roast for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.

Appetizer Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Artichoke Hearts

If using canned artichoke hearts, drain and rinse them. If using frozen, thaw according to package instructions.

  2. 4

    Cook the Buffalo Wings

Prepare the buffalo wings according to package instructions or deep fry them until golden brown and fully cooked. Toss in buffalo sauce once cooked.

  3. 5

    Fry the Calamari

Dredge the calamari rings in flour mixed with salt and black pepper. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry the calamari in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 6

    Prepare the Onion Rings

If using frozen onion rings, bake or fry according to package instructions until crispy. If making homemade, prepare a batter and fry until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Sampler

Slice the prime rib and arrange it on a large platter with the artichoke hearts, buffalo wings, fried calamari, and onion rings. Serve with ranch dressing and lemon wedges on the side.
