Method

Prepare the Reuben Dressing

  1. 1

    Make the Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and uniform. Set aside.

Assemble the Sandwiches

  1. 2

    Layer the Ingredients

Take 4 slices of marble rye bread and spread a generous layer of the Reuben dressing on each slice. Layer the corned beef evenly on two of the slices, followed by the Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.

Grill the Sandwiches

  1. 3

    Butter and Grill

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spread 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on the outside of each sandwich. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. You may need to press down gently with a spatula to ensure even grilling.

Serve the Sandwiches

  1. 4

    Cut and Serve

Once grilled to perfection, remove the sandwiches from the skillet. Let them sit for a minute before cutting them in half. Serve warm with extra Reuben dressing on the side for dipping.
