Preparing the Calamari

Clean and Prepare Calamari
Rinse the calamari strips under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Bread the Calamari
Dredge each calamari strip in the flour mixture, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with the herb Japanese bread crumbs. Ensure each strip is evenly coated.
Frying the Calamari

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the breaded calamari strips to the hot oil in small batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Serve
Remove the fried calamari with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat with remaining calamari strips.
Making Misty's Cocktail Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce until well combined.
