Method
Preparing the Crab
- 1
Steam the Crab Legs
Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and place a steamer basket inside. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, carefully add the Alaskan King Crab legs to the steamer basket. Cover the pot with a lid and steam the crab legs for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
Preparing the Drawn Butter
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it sit for a minute. Skim off any foam that forms on the top for a clearer butter.
Serving
- 3
Plate the Dish
Remove the steamed crab legs from the pot and place them on a serving platter. Cut the lemon in half and place it alongside the crab. Serve the melted drawn butter in a small bowl or ramekin for dipping.
