Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by gathering all the ingredients. Make sure the king crab legs are thawed if they were frozen. Rinse the crab legs under cold water to remove any debris.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter slowly. Be careful not to let it brown. Once melted, add the minced garlic (you can crush the cloves) and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Prepare the Crab Legs
Using kitchen scissors, cut the crab legs at the joints to make them easier to handle. If desired, you can also crack the shells slightly to make it easier to access the meat.
- 5
Steam the Crab Legs
Fill a large pot with about 1 inch of water and place a steamer basket inside. Bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, carefully place the crab legs in the steamer basket and cover the pot. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- 6
Serve
Remove the crab legs from the steamer and place them on a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the crab legs and serve with the garlic butter on the side for dipping.
