Method

Prepare the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Let the tea steep for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher. Discard the used tea leaves.

  4. 4

    Sweeten the Tea

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Milk Mixture

  1. 5

    Mix Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup of evaporated milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.

Assemble the Drink

  1. 6

    Add Ice

Fill tall glasses with 2 cups of ice cubes each.

  2. 7

    Combine Tea and Milk

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full. Then, top off each glass with the milk mixture.

  3. 8

    Stir and Serve

Gently stir the drink to combine the layers. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
