For the Sweet-Chili Dip

Method

For the Crab Cheese Puffs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onion, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and smooth.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Puff Pastry

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets. Cut the pastry into squares, approximately 3x3 inches.

  3. 3

    Fill the Pastry

Place a tablespoon of the crab filling in the center of each pastry square. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pouch and press to seal. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

  4. 4

    Bake the Puffs

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the puffs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

For the Sweet-Chili Dip

  1. 5

    Mix the Dip Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and water until well blended.

  2. 6

    Serve

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve alongside the warm crab cheese puffs.
