Method
For the Chicken Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- 2
Bread the Wings
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. Dip each chicken wing into the egg, then coat with the flour mixture. Shake off excess flour.
- 3
Prepare for Baking
Place the breaded chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure they are spaced out to allow for even cooking.
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
For the Spicy Tamarind Sauce
- 5
Make the Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine tamarind paste, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, chili paste, lime juice, and water. Stir well to combine.
- 6
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
- 7
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the spicy tamarind sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
