Method

Beef Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Trim excess fat from the prime beef brisket and eye of round. Cut the brisket into thin slices. Keep the eye of round intact for grilling.

  2. 2

    Make Beef Balls

Form small meatballs using ground beef, ensuring they are tightly packed. Set aside.

Chicken Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare Grilled Chicken

Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Grill over medium heat until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Once cooked, slice thinly.

Vegan Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Tofu and Vegetables

Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes. Stir-fry the mixed vegetables in a pan until tender.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, chili paste, honey, and minced garlic until well combined.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble Ba Mhee Heng

On a large serving platter, arrange the sliced beef brisket, grilled chicken, or tofu, along with beef balls. Drizzle with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro.
