Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool and Cut

Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Serve the Sundae

In a serving dish, place a warm brownie square at the bottom. Top with a scoop of vanilla gelato, followed by candied walnuts, brandied cherries, and a drizzle of morello cherry glacée. Enjoy!
