Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pizza Dough

If using store-bought pizza dough, follow package instructions. If making from scratch, combine flour, yeast, water, and salt in a bowl. Knead until smooth, then let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.

  3. 5

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by pepperoni slices, bell peppers, and onions. Add fresh basil leaves on top.

  4. 6

    Bake the Pizza

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  5. 7

    Slice and Serve

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve hot.
