Method

Cooking the Edamame

  1. 1

    Prepare the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Edamame

Once the water is boiling, add 2 cups of frozen edamame pods to the pot.

  3. 3

    Boil

Allow the edamame to boil for about 5-6 minutes, or until they are tender and bright green.

  4. 4

    Drain and Season

Carefully drain the edamame in a colander and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt over the pods while they're still hot.

Optional Seasoning

  1. 5

    Add Flavorings

For additional flavor, you can sprinkle garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the edamame, to taste.

  2. 6

    Mix Well

Toss the edamame pods gently to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.
