Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well and let marinate for at least 20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Cut the broccoli into florets, slice the carrot into thin rounds, and chop the onion into thin wedges.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and carrot. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

  3. 5

    Add Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.

  4. 6

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the beef broth, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and well combined.
