Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add apple cider vinegar and olive oil and stir until a paste forms.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Ribs

Rub the marinade all over the pork ribs. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium heat (around 150-175°C or 300-350°F).

  2. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 6

    Grill the Ribs

Place the marinated ribs on the grill, bone side down. Grill for about 2 hours, turning every 30 minutes and basting with the BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes.

  4. 7

    Check for Doneness

Ribs are done when they are tender and the meat has pulled back from the bones. Ensure the internal temperature is at least 74°C (165°F).

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
