Pork Marinade

Method

Marinating and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine minced garlic, brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and fresh thyme leaves. Mix well to form a paste.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Rub the marinade all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well coated. Cover the pork with plastic wrap or place it in a resealable bag and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, ideally overnight.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  4. 4

    Cook the Pork

Place the marinated pork shoulder in a roasting pan. Cover with foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 4 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before shredding or slicing. Serve as desired.
